Moblog ate my weekend

Getting my Panasonic GD88 phone to take a picture and post it on my blog ate away most of my weekend. If it wasn't a fickle Finnish MMS gateway, it was a stubborn Swedish email gateway. Once that was all fixed (thank God I know all the carrier tech teams in town) it was aliases and Sendmail relays and domain mapping. Once everyone knew where we were going, there was the standard Linux whining, with all his ridiculous goofy dependencies. Then of course Mr. XML and Mr. RPC had their say. Once that got worked out, our friend CGI, and his partner BIN, and their pal VAR, stopped by to screw things up. They got taken care of, but then there was that damned slippery snake to deal with: Python. He was properly caged away, but not before I had a visit from Php, who had a problem dealing with his older self. A new set of clothes, a weekend later, and my last issue was simple HTML. A tag, a tuck, and a few bobbypins later, it works.

All this to get a picture to post on a blog, so I can take 8kb snaps of people sticking their tongue out. And I never got a chance to return my rented movie which I never saw.

3q2u is an acronym which if said in Chinese and Japanese sounds like "Thank you to you!" Dumb but easy to remember. More >>
