Gathered up a couple of friends and headed down to an Oriented happy hour at Shannon's. Actually I was hoping to encourage Kenny to meet more girls and practice talking to them. I even explained the whole wing man theory to him. If he saw someone interesting, I'd make the intros, talk to her friends, and she'd be there all alone for him to talk to. I think it's a lost cause, but I'll try a couple more times.
Met Christine, who founded Oriented. She asked me, "So what's up with the name??" I thought that was pretty funny. I guess "Corbett" is an odd name. She promised to come check out 3q2u.com, but we'll only know for sure if she leaves a comment.

3q2u is written by Corbett Wall, and is really just a window into my quirky little world. It's also a way for me to exercise my thoughts and make random comments outside of cultural, language, or business barriers.
3q2u is an acronym which if said in Chinese and Japanese sounds like "Thank you to you!" Dumb but easy to remember. More >>

Nice to have met you Mr. Corbett! Thanks for coming to the ORIENTED Happy Hours and for introducing yourself to me. I checked out your site pretty thoroughly, very interesting stuff you've got here! Nice to meet another blogger in Taipei who writes in earnest. =)

Actually Christofu is jealous because of my earnestness. He has his own blog but never posts because he's "too busy."
