Monday early AM. Cars start to come up the mountain. Birds have stopped chirping. All controllable to-do activities planned for the week. Can't sleep. So I stumble onto a site that tells me to:

Grab the nearest book.
Open the book to page 23.
Find the fifth sentence.
Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.

Meekly I follow...Grab, open, find, post:

"When are you going to start thinking about your next move?"

"Personally, I feel that, one must learn by experience the basic principles of successful dealing in securities through trading in active listed leaders, and particlularly one must acquire the ability to control personal emotions of fear of loss, or greed for larger profit, etc."

From my office. I'll email one from home.

Page 23, Line 5? Sounds like you stumbled across someone who is a fan of Robert Anton Wilson . . . or at least The Principia Erisian. Neat.

I got:

"In certain tracks of the Ifalong, you will be famous."

Okay.

Whatever book I had was the month's FRP (Financial Report Package) binder. Does that count as a book? It's hideously thick, it should be the bible. Page 23, line 5 says - and I am translating this in words because it's in numbers - "The company did not hit it's sales targets for the month, you should be fired as marketing consultant." I don't like this exercise. :)

3q2u is written by Corbett Wall, and is really just a window into my quirky little world. It's also a way for me to exercise my thoughts and make random comments outside of cultural, language, or business barriers.

3q2u is an acronym which if said in Chinese and Japanese sounds like "Thank you to you!" Dumb but easy to remember. More >>
