Just like High School...sort of
I think most guys in Taiwan would beat me to a pulp if they knew what I was doing today.
I picked up a friend after she got off work, who just happens to be Taiwan's hottest super model. She's the one you see all the time on the cover of Next Magazine.
I mean it's kind of weird, she's so famous now, and has to be really careful how she travels, where she's going, etc, because the paparazzi are all over her, staking out the next gossip shot.
Anyways, there we are just the two of us sitting in my car, on a dark tree lined street, chatting and listening to music. It's exactly like a high school date, except without the beer and the braces. Were sitting there for a while when a nice make out song comes on the radio. Next thing you know, I casually reach over and...
...answer the phone.
Finally. We'd been waiting forever for Irene and her friend to pick up some night market food so we could take it back to the house and all watch the Troy DVD together.

oh man, you did not say
nightmarket food. so cruel.
so cruel. *sniffs*
Yes, that was funny. All the while I'm waiting for the rest of the story to load though, I'm thinking there must be a pattern in recent posts . . . hmmm, first you're talking to three hot foreign babes at the club and all you can think of is things like where you don't want to be during an earthquake and Liza Minelli . . . and, now, you're in a car with one of the hottest super models in the country and you're answering the phone. Good boy. :-) You're right, there probably are a few idiot boys who would want to kick your butt for that but . . . which is worse? . . . these hypothetical guys who don't know the person that is your friend wanting to kick your butt or actually getting your hand broken when you reach over and try to grab something other than your phone? It was a nice build up and twist for the story though. Good job. BTW, night market food is technically not food. It may in some ways be edible . . . but food, it ain't.
Hehe, I thought it was funny too. Water water everywhere...
