What you gonna do?

"Some foreign media, especially those based in the U.S., have wantonly reported on so-called unsafe Chinese products. They are turning white to black," Li Changjiang, minister of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, was quoted as saying by the newspaper."

What about the local media reports?
Like dumplings stuffed with cardboard?

Or local movies like Dumplings: Three Extremes?

The list could go on, but sometimes you just have to tell yourself, "I'm here, I have to deal with it. What other choice do I have?"

Hey C.,

Long time since I last visited your blog. Speaking of banned Chinese food products, the Philippine government recently banned my favorite candy of all time - Chinese White Rabbit. They say it contains embalming fluid.

I swear I went into mourning when I saw my candies being pulled out of grocery shelves. I'm waiting for the day they will return it. My life is not the same anymore without my Chinese White Rabbit. Sniff.

So good to visit your blog again. I hope all is well with you.

thanks for continuing to drop by. You can still get White Rabbit in China no problem. We used to get wicked next day headaches from the beer there because of the formaldehyde in it, but those headaches have stopped now - either our heads are embalmed now or they lowered the quantities.

3q2u is an acronym which if said in Chinese and Japanese sounds like "Thank you to you!" Dumb but easy to remember. More >>
