Bretton Woods 2 - Video game review

I went out the other day and picked up a new Play Station video game I saw at the local pirate DVD shop. I'd never heard of it before, so I thought I'd give it a try.
Bretton Woods 2: Quest for Glory
Premise: The game was weird in that there were only two teams allowed to play. The guys in blue or the guys in red. If you were a guy in blue your goal was to buy as much stuff as possible from the guys in red. If you were a guy in red, you tried to sell as much stuff as possible to the guys in blue.
Game play: Sounds pretty simple, but the game gets more interesting when you actually pay for the stuff you buy. You would think, as the guys in blue, that the more money you paid to the guys in red, the more money they'd have to buy stuff back from you. But that's not the case, the guys in red have figured out that they should keep the money from the blue guys, then print lots of money to make up for the difference. This keeps the price of their money lower, so blue guys will always keep buying from them. Confusing?
Strategy: So the red guys, who want to win the game as the guys selling the most, realize that there's a rule where they can actually lend the blue guys money to buy more stuff from them. This way they make money from the guys buying all their stuff, and sell all their stuff to boot. This works fine for the blue guys because - remember their goal is to buy as much as possible from the red guys. So the blue guys keep borrowing and borrowing, and buying and buying, and the red guys keep lending and lending, and selling and selling.
Summary: OK, so how do you win? Well that's a good question. After playing the game for hours and hours trying to win, the piece of crap just blew up in my face. Then it melted my Play Station, shorted my TV, burnt out my speakers, and tripped the circuit breaker.
What a piece of crap. I just want my money back.

Probably the most insightful and succinct explanation of the US/China trade relationship I've ever read. Great post. Now, please, how does it turn out?

That's where we have to wait for the new release, Bretton Woods 3 - The Final Conquest, and see how it turns out. I've heard that it be a complete reworking of the original gameplay requiring an expensive firmware update, and most excitingly - will be available in multiplayer mode.
