MOFCOM busted

Corbett | November 24, 2008 3:06 PM

Anyone who deals with foreign investment here in China is very familiar with MOFCOM. They're like a Turing Machine where you have to submit your proposals and hope something gets spit back out - if ever. We all know it's a well oiled Turing machine, but the problem is we never know which wheel to oil or how much grease to apply.

So I found this recent article in Caijing very interesting, and quite useful for a better understanding of how the mysterious machine of MOFCOM actually works.

Thanks for the article recommendation. Caijing is definitely the best Chinese publication for business and economics news out here.

3q2u is an acronym which if said in Chinese and Japanese sounds like "Thank you to you!" Dumb but easy to remember. More >>
