Food coma

Being back in Taiwan this time was a blur of night markets, street food, and driving. I didn't think it was possible to eat 15 things at one night market, but we did it...and on multiple nights in Lugang at 天后宮, Taichung's famous 逢甲夜市, Sanyi's historic train station (great Hakka food), Shenkeng tofu street, and Keelung 廟口. Think deep fried tian bu la, taiwanese sausages, peanut ice, douhua, pig's feet soup, hot sugar cane juice in ginger, baked pepper beef buns, peanut and cilantro burritos, pig's blood with rice, stinky tofu, rice sausages, deep fried sandwiches (called "healthy" sandwiches - go figure), fried dumplings, herbal jelly, papaya milkshakes, black sesame dumplings, beef tendons, chicken's feet, fried oysters and eggs, main xian, candied tomatoes, and on and on...

Besides all that we still managed midnight hot springs in Yilan (the new tunnel is very cool), real beef noodles in Taipei, hanging out on the beach in Jinshan, and tea shopping on Yongkang Street.

Now back to reality.

3q2u is an acronym which if said in Chinese and Japanese sounds like "Thank you to you!" Dumb but easy to remember. More >>
