White gogo boots in China

As most of my friends know, my attention easily gets diverted while walking down the street, in meetings, at lunch, in an elevator, on an escalator, or at the grocery store as I try to snap a passing shot for my "art project."

It all began last year when I just started noticing a lot of white gogo boots walking around. I found this fascinating, so began a chronicle. Some call it a fetish. I prefer project.

Just the other day I saw this post at china.org.com when I realized my gogo project had been officially legitimized by the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China. How cool was that?

So in recognition of the upcoming 60th birthday of the PRC, I offer you a glimpse into the new cultural revolution. Gogo, baby.
