Bu ke da bian

Outside of the Suzhou train station are a row of really smelly but fairly clean stainless steel toilets. I know because I can now hold my breath for at least a minute while I simultaneously pee, fumble in my pocket for the camera, trying not to laugh, and take a photo of a warning sign that says "Don't Shit" over the urinal.

The One Hundred Project

Marc Kets, a friend who now lives in Cape Town, wrote and told me about his latest project which sounded really cool. It's called The One Hundred Project.

His project is to invite 100 people he knows who are into creative things, and ask them a list of questions, and ask them to share some music tracks.

Definitely check it out (kumomusic.blogspot.com) Some very interesting people, and more to come. I'm on there at #12 which was my baseball AND football number when I was a kid.

As a side note: It's rare to find someone as into music as Marc. He can live for days in his record collection. And what a wide range of choices he has. I definitely look forward to freshening my ears through his new site.

Better than free

I found this article by Kevin Kelly fascinating not only for his ideas on digital product, but for how to make yourself worthwhile in a super competitive and crowded market like China.

"When copies are super abundant, they become worthless. When copies are super abundant, stuff which can't be copied becomes scarce and valuable."

The article is here.
