The Fuzz
After Dolores was properly shagged, I had to figure out what to do with the B25. ("Dolores" is the name now given to the Fender 5E3. So far B25 is only referred to as B25...).
I had just finished reading this great book on the history of Stax Records, and I recalled a photo of the inside of Jim Stewart's office after they hit big time with a lucrative deal with CBS. There was a leopard covered bar in the corner of that photo, which I suppose in 1972 was synonymous with fabulous success. Since my B25 was a fabulous success, and could probably have been played by Duck Dunn on a Booker T. tour, and now had to sleep in the same room with a purple shagged Dolores every night, I figured leopard skin was it. FYI, it's damned tough finding a suitable sparkling grill cloth that matches furry leopard.
The cabinet is a copy of the Sunn 2000s model which Noel Redding toured with. But he didn't have leopard skin. Sorry. Check out the big ass port across the middle. That pushes the air out from the two 15" drivers creating a nice smoke-free environment around the rhythm section.
